At Crowley's Canine Academy, we use positive reinforcement to help dogs and their people learn, communicate, and thrive together.

We work with dogs of all breeds and ages, with a special focus on puppies and service dogs from raising a future service dog to building a well-mannered family companion.

Service Dogs Make a Difference

Service dogs are skilled canines that perform a range of specialized tasks to help their owner live a more independent lifestyle.

They can help with:

• Mobility & stability

• Medical alerts

• Alleviation of anxiety & panic attacks

• PTSD & dissociation

• Daily activities

• And so much more

Frequently Asked Questions

  • First things first, don't be nervous. We'll start with a free consultation to determine your design needs (and if we'll make great collaborators).

  • Pricing is based on both the project's scope and your desired timeline. (I promise fair rates and will always require your approval before we begin).

  • Positive reinforcement, also known as R+, is a science‑based training technique that concentrates on giving rewards for behaviors we wish to see frequently. When your dog does something we like, we give them a reward they enjoy, such as a treat, toy, praise, play, or access to something they desire. Positive reinforcement makes the dog understand that the behavior worked and encourages the dog to repeat it.

  • We train any and all dogs! We do not discriminate against breed, age, or size. If you need help we got you covered.

  • We offer many in-home programs such as 4-6 week training options with 1-2 training sessions a week. We also offer just hourly sessions if that is more your style. We have programs that are also better suited for service dog training, puppies, or behavioral concerns. Please reach out with any questions regarding which program would be right for you!

  • We are hoping to have group classes starting soon! Keep a lookout on our social media for updates!

  • Unfortunately, we do not yet offer board and train programs. We offer in-home training programs where we meet you where you are. We come to you and your pup to train in the comfort of your home. If your dog needs help with things in the environment, then we can go on little field trips!

Bella is absolutely wonderful! She is reliable, always on time, and communicates so well. I feel completely comfortable knowing my dog is in her care. She is patient, caring, and does a great job with both sitting and training. I truly appreciate how dependable and attentive she is. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.

Since tomorrow is Halloween we wanted to go over some helpful tips for you and your pup! One of the biggest ones… keep your candy away from your dog!!!!! Chocolate is incredibly toxic and the last thing anyone wants on a fun holiday is a trip to the ER. Another thing to keep in mind is your dog doesn’t need to like or be comfortable around Halloween decorations. Halloween does not need to be a test for them. If your dog is a little weirded out or spooked by the decorations do not force them into uncomfortable situations. One last reminder: for our furry friends who may be a bit reactive to people knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell set some good boundaries. Find another room for them, give them a good chew or enrichment toy, put a gate around the door, etc. Always try to set your pup up for success and never push them past their limits. Holidays are supposed to be fun for you and your family which includes your 4-legged members! #halloween #dogsafety #dogtrainer #halloween2026 #dogtraining

With the holidays coming up we know that puppies may seem like a great gift but there’s a lot to think about. They are way more than just a cute cuddly friend. They’re a 10-15 year commitment that includes things like vet bills, another mouth to feed, enrichment, toys, etc. If you’re thinking of a puppy as a gift this year please don’t hesitate to reach out and see if one would be a good addition to your family. We can help you make a well informed decision and walk you through a good training plan for when your little ball of joy comes home! #puppy #christmas #holidays #christmaspuppy #explorepage

One important aspect of pet safety that can be overlooked is car safety and traveling. It is very important your dog knows where its spot is in the car and that they can settle there. It needs to be a spot where the dog will not come bother you/the driver, it will not get into anything, and it is safe. There are ideal conditions for a set up but those do do not work for everyone’s car or abilities. Please don’t hesitate to ask for help if you’re struggling with your pup in the car! #carsafety #dogsafety #dogtrainer #dogtips #dogcar
